September 10, 2017: We Ride!

Get your motors running for the 5th Annual Al Lund Memorial Motorbike Ride, which will take place on Sunday September 10, 2017. This community-centered event will start with a public pancake breakfast from 9:00-10:30 am, hosted by the Wetaskiwin Volunteer Fire Department at the West Fire Hall.

After breakfast, the riders will take a ride approximately 250 km through beautiful central Alberta. Along the route there will be several checkpoints where participants can collect scrabble tiles to compete in word competitions at the end of the ride.

The riders will then return to Wetaskiwin at about 2:30 pm for a wrap-up BBQ and prize ceremony at the Heritage Museum. Main Street will be closed to traffic for the afternoon. This will allow us to open the BBQ to the public for an old fashioned block party, where everybody will enjoy a great afternoon including a display of all the participating motorbikes.
