The Wetaskiwin District Heritage Museum, Star Store, and City of Wetaskiwin Archives are operated by the Wetaskiwin & District Museum Society, a non-profit charity registered through Alberta Registries (Incorporation No. 50348221). All donations of $20 or more throughout the calendar year are eligible for tax receipts. Our Charity BN is 108204777RR0001.

Your membership helps support the events and activities at the museum and throughout our community as well as the exhibition and preservation of the shared history & heritage of the over 31,000 people who cal Wetaskiwin City, County, and the Maskwacis Cree Four Nations Home.

Your membership helps support events and activities at the museum and throughout our community as well as the exhibition and preservation of the shared history & heritage of the over 31,000 people who call Wetaskiwin City, County, and the Maskwacis Cree Four Nations Home.
There are four types of Memberships available:
- Annual Individual Membership, valid for one year from the time of purchase;
- Annual Family Membership, for family of two or more, valid for one year from the time of purchase;
- Lifetime Membership 60+, a one-time payment for those individuals who are 60 years of age and older;
- Lifetime 59- is for those individuals who are 59 years of age and younger
Lifetime memberships include a name plate on our Lifetime Members plaque, which is on display in the Wetaskiwin District Heritage Museum.
Membership benefits include:
- 10% discount on all regularly priced items in the Star Store Candy, Gifts, and Wool Shop;
- Personal museum & archives tours, including behind the scenes (by arrangement only);
- Short-term loan priviledges from our Usable Gift Collection and Resource Library;
- Free internet and computer use (depending on availability) plus free photocopying (up-100 free black and white copies, and discounts on anything over this);
- Discounted admission for special workshops, programs, and events organised by and held at the museum. Some exceptions apply;
- Special membership rates when booking use of the museum for your events;
- Rental of catering and event supplies for off-site gatherings;
- Entitlement to vote on museum policies, nominations of officers, and opportunity for input on current and upcomping programs, events, and exhibitions at the AGM in April;
- Coming soon: An email subscription with regular notification of upcoming programming and events.
