The Wetaskiwin and District Heritage Museum is owned and operated by the Wetaskiwin & District Museum Society (Registered charity #108204777RP0001). As a non-profit organization, we gratefully accept donations from the public. There are a number of ways that you can support the museum:

Monetary Donations

Supporters of the museum can donate money as an individual, organization,  or as a memorial for someone.

All monetary donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt.

Donors are acknowledged through plaques placed on the Donor Recognition Tree on the first floor of the museum, and in our quarterly Museletter.

In-Kind donations

The public can also support the Heritage Museum through contributions of materials for use in the museum. Examples of recent donations include hand-made crafts to sell in the Timely Treasures Gift Shop, computer and photography equipment, materials for renovations.

In-kind donations over a value of $20 are eligible for a tax receipt.

Artefact Donations

The artefacts in our collection each have a place in the wider story of Wetaskiwin’s history. If you feel you have a historical artefact with an interesting story that could augment our collection, feel free to come by the museum and discuss it with our Collections Department.

Visit the museum, call us at (780) 352-0227, or email us to find more about how you can make a contribution to the Wetaskiwin and District Heritage Museum.
