We know your graduation is not what you’ve been dreaming of, but that does not make it any less special. In fact, we think it makes YOU more special. Plus, you are making history – we love that!!
The term graduation comes from the Latin – “gradus” meaning step. We are eagerly awaiting to see what steps you will take to make this a better future for all of us. You will change this world and continue to make history. We are excited to watch it happen.
Each of us deserves these important traditions and rites of passage to celebrate ourselves, we seldom get the opportunity to do so, which is why we at the museum want to help.
Class of 2020 History Maker’s Grad Walk
The main gallery of the museum has been transformed into a commencement stage to give you the opportunity to make that symbolic step up onto the stage, receive an official History Maker Certificate, and then take the next step into your future.
The History Makers Grad Walk is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
Below you will find a booking calendar of currently available dates and times. If these do not work for you, please contact us at 780-352-0227 for an appointment.
Each appointment will be 10 minutes, your group will be allowed into the building upto 20 minutes before your appointment, but will have to stay together as a group in a dedicated spot. There will be further photo opportunities during this time in our Children’s Legacy Centre.
Due to Covid-19 Safely Protocols, your party (including the graduate) cannot exceed ten (10) people. This will be stricly followed, anyone over this number will not be admitted into the building.
ENTRY will be through the front doors only while EXIT will be through the BACK doors only

Class of 2020 History Maker’s Wall
All graduates will have the opportunity to leave their mark on our Class of 2020 History Makers Wall. The shed in the museum parking lot is available for you to sign and be immortalized. We are asking all graduates to be respectful of other art on the shed and try to limit their space to a maximum of approximately 1 square foot. Please participate in this activity during the museum’s regular operating hours only, which are currently Thursday, Friday, and Saturday between 11 am and 6 pm. We are asking you to bring your own supplies if possible.
Facebook Class of 2020 History Makers Photo Montage
We would be privileged to share your graduation pictures and any words of encouragement you or those who love you want the world to know through our Facebook page and will post these until ALL of you are celebrated on our page as our Class of 2020 History Makers. We will also print photos off and paste our front windows with your amazing faces and names. Please message us on Facebook, or via email at wdhm@persona.ca with a picture or two, and whatever you would like to say, and we will make sure it gets posted.
